VICTORIA WAITS

“Yoga brings you into the present moment.  The only place where life exists.”

  • Victoria Waits

what does the future hold?

So what does the future hold as we move forwards into a new phase following Covid-19? First of all I must say a HUGE thank you to each and everyone of you who have continued your practice with me online!! I know its a strange situation to get your head around at first but look how quickly we can learn to adapt! As soon as the first news came about following the outbreak and the centres and studios closing what can we do to continue to allow our inner work to flourish? Grow and move with the times. We are taught within our physical yoga practice to notice resistance, to feel it, recognise where it resides and if there is a way, learn to sit with it, work through it, or completely back away from it.

Here we are months later in the bigger picture with a resistance that we were unable to control or understand, this resistance I hope has taught so many of us to surrender, To move and accept that things change and stop worrying about what comes next. Sure it is unnerving, it does allow anxiety to rear its ugly head, it does make us feel overwhelmed but if we allow these feelings to consume us we wont see those little sparks of joy, the infinite time that has been given to us to truly be ourselves, alone or with family, to take a chance to stop.

I have loved teaching online, all the emotions and questions of figuring out what on earth do I do online?! How do I make it even work! But we learn quickly, if we want to and most of all need to. Teaching online has made me evolve as a teacher, it has allowed me to understand the use of new language, demonstrate to the smallest details, slow down, laugh with you and has enabled me to take part in other teachers classes, I really am so grateful for the experience.

If you're feeling the need to ACT on something, whats stopping you? Im right here telling you, you can, and you will!!

Ahead of the new guidelines with the Leisure industry opening on the 25th July, its still uncertain with times and dates and even knowing what a regular timetable will look like. As soon as I know, i'll be letting you know!

For the moment you can find all of my online classes currently running AND my 'real life' timetable for the future below. With the 'real life' classes, this was the timetable BEFORE Lockdown so Im not sure what it's going to look like in the future with staggered starting times, class capacity and cleaning schedules. Hopefully in no time at all it will be back to the full timetable and we can do so many classes together!! I understand your apprehension towards returning back to the studio but rest assured myself and the centre will be doing our upmost to make it safe and suitable, ready for when YOU feel ready to return.

I highly recommend in investing in your own yoga mat... you can find a post here I recently shared regarding good quality brands and equipment I would like to to invest in for future classes!

Thank you so much for sharing space with me and allowing me to guide you. If you have any questions or feedback it is always greatly received.

Loads of love!
