Happy Sunday!

Sunday has arrived again, and tonight's Yang and Yin is all about the heart. So come along and find some space in your heart.

Heart openers in yoga are fabulous poses that range from closed, contained poses that encourage introspection to huge expansive open shapes that encourage us to connect to those around us and the space outside of ourselves.

Some of my favourite poses come into this group, fish pose, butterfly (especially reclined) supported bridge, warrior poses especially reverse warrior, side bends and twists all help to create this sense of space and connection to others and the universe.

The Heart Chakra is something many people feel stuck with; Located at the center of the chest, with a green colour associated it ties to our sense of acceptance, compassion and love. Balance in the heart chakra allows us to feel connected, trusting, tolerance and emotionally balanced. Imbalance links to loneliness, callousness, and emotional distance....and nobody wants to feel like that. So connect to things that allow you to feel you can be open about your feelings and encourage connection to those who bring warmth to your life.
