Day 22 - Seated Side Bend
DAY 22🙌 Pose: Seated Side Bend - Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana
Alignment: Lets enjoy a delicious side bend today. Its a cloudy Monday and what better way to start than a Yin posture. Make it comfortable, supported and spend a good 3-5 minutes here. From a seated position with the legs wide (this can be a variation if you prefer!) or bend the right leg guiding right foot to the inner left thigh, as you inhale extend and reach the right arm, maybe circling through the shoulder and moving the head, looking down and up. Use todays pose to work into as many areas of the body you can! On your exhale begin lengthening the right hand towards the left foot or the left hand side of the room. Breathe deep and then start to soften into a layer that you can rest in, there is tension and resistance, a stretch but the posture isn't forceful.
