Day 18 - Dancers Pose

Dancers Pose - Natarajasana


Alignment: From standing, feet are hip distance apart, allow the inner thighs to touch and bend the right leg backwards. As you bend the leg grab the right foot with the right hand. Inner thighs reconnect, without force. Inhale as you lift the heart and exhale to kick the right foot back and up. Keep kicking! Take your time to find your balance and an equalbreath, press the standing foot down, lift the heart and begin to find counter balance with the head and back foot. You can reach the left arm up, forwards or rest on the left thigh.Be playful, and dance! Repeat on the left side, 5 - 10 deep breaths.


Benefits: Strengthens the legs, feet and ankles. Stretches the thigh, knee and front body. Strengthens the lower back, core and aids balance and focus.
