Day 16 - Dolphin Pose
Pose: Dolphin Pose
Alignment: From a table top position allow the elbows and forearms to touch down to the mat, once there align the shoulders over the elbows and hips over the knees. Take your time to establish strength within the upper body, press the upper back towards the ceiling, think about broadening the shoulder blades. Pressing the shoulders lightly from the ears, create spacearound the chest, collar bones and ears. Engage your core, press through the heels to begin lifting the tailbone, you can extend the legs, or bend the knees, take your time! This is a tough one! 30 seconds-1 minute hold.
Benefits: Strengthens the arms and shoulder girdle. Stretches the shoulders, hamstrings and legs, calms the brain and relieves stress.
