Day 12 - Hero Pose
Day 12 ✨ Heros Pose - Virasana
Alignment: Heros pose can begin from a kneeling pose, also known as Thunderbolt pose. Taking time to settle into a kneeling position, we begin moving the feet to the outside of the outer hips. Start slowly by elevating the pelvis onto a block, pillows or a bolster, once you find you can comfortably sit here allow yourself to move deeper. Eventually the bum may be on the floor, please be mindful the knees and ankles are delicate and we don't want to compromise them before the hips and thighs are open.
Benefits: Stretches the thighs, knees and ankles. Improves digestions and relieves gas, a great posture to sit in after eating. Internally rotates the thighs helping to gain more range of movement and counterbalance hip openers. Enjoy a daily posture on INSTAGRAM & FACEBOOK to keep you inspired, motivated and playful!
