Mantra Monday

We are surrounded by people, media, a life that somehow seems to thrive off negative energy. Its all around us and it only takes one brush past someone having a bad day, one word from a close friend to unintentionally crush us. Its time to learn to let that negative energy bounce off you rather than letting it sink into your skin and make you feel heavy.

Letting go of negative thoughts is hard. It’s such a huge, physical release—a profound sense of wellbeing washes over you. You’ve been wearing a heavy, lead suit, and then you can step out of it, and float onward.

Here are some affirmations to help you, each day, for a minute, or even if you just grab onto one when that stranger pushes past you in the street.

  1. I abandon old habits and choose new, positive ones.

  2. I let go of impatience and trust in God’s plan.

  3. I choose the contents of my life.

  4. Obstacles are now falling away easily.

  5. I no longer resist the lessons I’m learning.

  6. Other people do not control my emotions; I do.

  7. I am filled with positive actions.

  8. I release things that no longer serve me.

  9. I welcome positivity into my life.

  10. I am at peace with what is happening.

  11. Today is a clean slate.

  12. I am gentle with myself and others.

  13. I release the need to replay situations in my mind.

  14. Today, I welcome health and happiness.

  15. I transform negative energy into love and light.

The human mind by its very nature is intuitively wired to run away from anything that feels bad in the body.

However, it’s this very mind that actually creates negative emotions in the first place through its negative pattern of thinking. So it’s like a vicious cycle where the mind creates the negative emotion and then tries to suppress it or run away from it.

You can free up your body of all the negative energy which has been stored up in it simply by relaxing into a state of surrender. Just let go of the need to escape or suppress the emotions that are arising. Let your body throw up all the garbage that has been accumulated over several years of suppressing and hiding these emotions.

When emotions are being released, your energy field is being cleared up, and this will happen automatically as soon as you relax in a state of surrender. The suppressed emotions are looking to come up and leave anyway, so you don’t have to do anything other than stop resisting the movement when it happens.
